Schools concentrate large numbers of children at fixed times, with labs, kitchens and halls in the same building. The study reviews escape routes, corridor and stair widths, alarm audibility in classrooms and yards, and protection for labs and kitchens.
We have worked on Rawad International Schools in the Eastern Province, Al-Ghad International Colleges in Dammam, and Ru'ya Al-Mustaqbal and Al Salam schools in Al-Ahsa. We usually finish with a timed evacuation drill compared against the calculated time.
